NCL can now ask for proof of vaccination in Florida

I think the record infections in Florida will have to have a negative impact on cruising out of the state.

I need Disney to make decisions and let me know what those are. How it impacts cruising in general doesn't impact me personally.

If it means more restrictions so be it I will think it through after announced. Also if interested look at the 30 day increase % of the 7 day average of positive tests compared to other states like CA or TX or NY.

My point is, with the rapidly changing landscape, they can't make decisions. How can they? People want answers they can't provide.

The article should have said NCL wins injunction, not wins lawsuit.

However, as with many cases, injunctions happen rather quickly and lawsuit take forever. By the time this actually goes to trial, this may all be in our rear view mirror. The real world implications of this are that NCL can now require vaccines, and other cruise lines may decide to follow. As the injunction isn't even 12 hours old yet, there are still more questions than answers.

I have thought for cruise lines they should let them re-start with the requirement and let the cruise line decide how they want to go forward in the future.

Just how long is this going to go on now??
A VERY long time, unless someone relents. This is just a preliminary step but it does allow NCL to start cruises with mandatory vaccine documentation. As far as I can tell, the briefing schedule to hear the actual case hasn't even been set yet. I'm not an expert but I wouldn't be surprised if there is flurry of news over the next few weeks (especially if Florida appeals) then radio silence for 6 months.

As a point of reference, in the other case where Florida won an injunction against the CDC, the CDC's brief on the appeal of the preliminary injunction now isn't even due until October 1st.
