https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-storie...floridian-and-yacht-club-when-season-resumes/To keep them in their "bubble": "While at their hotels, players will have access to a players-only lounge, pools, barbers, manicurists and pedicurists, a 24-hour VIP concierge, movie screenings, video games, ping pong, and lawn games. Players will also be able to attend other games. " I would think a quiet pool at each would be reserved for the players & associated members.

Very interesting. I would think at VGF they would have to use the quiet pool, since Villas use both GF main pools.
And maybe that’s why Stormalong Bay is not opening since NBA will be at YC. But it remains to be seen how things unfold.

So, no walking along the walkway between BC and YC?! :(

How are they going to keep the bubble at GF? VGF will be open, dining/shops for it are at the main GF building.

I *highly* doubt that the NBA players/families would be satisfied with a quiet pool. No, I feel SAB will be closed off for them. Maybe they will even use it as *the* pool for the players and families and provide transportation.

Maybe a better question would be, if it's safe enough for the rest of us, why isn't it safe enough for them? ;)

That is a bit of a straw man, don’t you think? The fact is that whereas the rest of us are free to move about and go to the parks and restaurants that we want (and are open), they will not. Much bigger stakes at play...

I just called Disney the central reservation number and they have no information from Disney that this is happening or what resorts the teams will be staying at so right now they can't comment.

I have a YC reservation for the end of August. I guess we'll be rebooked?
Not necessarily. The top seeded teams are at Gran Destino. It's likely that the teams at Yacht club would be done by late August or possibly moved to Gran Destino if they are still playing at that point.

I like how the top seeded teams get the "moderate" resort, while the bottom dwellers are at GF and YC. I was hoping to be sitting by the pool with the reigning NBA Champs :) ....... :(

Have you seen CS & the new Grand Destino tower since it opened? It's gorgeous and the restaurant & lounge at the top is very good with excellent views! IMO, the "moderate" classification just doesn't do it justice, and other than proximity to the MK or EPCOT, the YC & GF aren't any better, IMO. Also, CS is closer to the WWOS complex than either the YC or the GF.

So guest staying at the Beach club won't be able to use SAB, but the NBA can?

The NBA will be there to work, and exercise is a big part of their daily routine. They would probably prefer a pool more conducive to swimming than SAB. The YC quiet pool is perfect as it is quiet, away from SAB, and it's closure unlikely to affect guests staying at BC & BCV (also, it is probable that their pools at home have more sand, slides, hot tubs, bells & whistles than we could possibly dream of :) ).

A 108-page health and safety protocol handbook has been generated for the NBA, reportedly in a small font

Will the NBA/Disney meal plan be made available for us regular folks?

Disney has chosen to keep it closed. Since they pay the bulk of the costs, and it’s part of their hotels, they get to make that choice.

We don’t know if the players will use it or if they simply don’t want to open to keep that area guest free.

BC hasn’t opened yet and I bet it won’t while NBA is there. They know without SAB, BCV is not going to be popular.

Oh, ok.

While this NBA arrangement is a plus for Disney, I am glad I won't be back to WDW until the end of Oct, which by then the NBA will have left.

The question is.... If the NBA does get to use the pool, but DVC does not, Will they reimburse you the portion of dues that paid for SAB ??
