NBA selected WDW resorts

A news article that I read stated that the NBA will be occupying the Gran Destino Tower, the Grand Floridian, and the Yacht Club. I have a vacation planned for July 26 - July 31 at the villas at the Grand Floridian. My concern now is that the resort will be overcrowded now. Our intentions for this trip was to enjoy the resort and the pool with no intentions of going to the theme parks. Now I’m worried that the restaurants and pool will reach capacities much quicker now. Thoughts?

From what I understand, the players are to be isolated from other guests. Interested to know the details of how this will all work and for how long.

I’m sure Disney is getting paid a large amount from the NBA, so I don’t believe they have much concern for their regular guests.

The top tier teams (most likely to last through the playoffs to the Finals) are in Gran Destino. Expect that resort to be occupied through October. Mid-tier are at Grand Floridian. Lowest seeded teams are at Yacht Club. Most of those teams are expected to be there the least amount of time.
