I don’t believe they will end the season, staying and going the entire distance keeps their platform front and Centre for seven more weeks. I am not sure what happens honestly. I can see both. Teams have been considering boycotting for a while now. Today was a major day. I am sure this meeting will discuss whether they should move forward at all and if they do when and how. The players firmly believe there are more than sports happening right now and they want to use their platform for such.

Yeah but that's the same with any sport or college sports. Aside from media companies that rely on airing sports for ad revenue, the rest of the economy would probably be minimally affected by the shut down of any sports league. The full shutdown of all sports might create more problems, but even the NFL isn't enough to really rock the financial markets at large.

Since the shooting happened not far from Milwaukee it makes sense for their teams to lead the charge and the baseball game was in Milwaukee tonight. Definitely will get more attention now that it's spread to an additional league.

The NBA is far more popular than MLB. Many people care. Your individual interest has no correlation to worldwide interest.

I'm definitely in support of this protest and also think it's kind of cool that Disney World facilitated it. I can't imagine players feeling comfortable enough to do this if they were spread across the country and Toronto. It's only because they are in the Disney bubble that those leading this protest and those players like LeBron with the security to take this risk were able to communicate with all players to get a critical mass of people on board.
