Obviously, everyone here loves to plan our vacations. Perhaps I am borderline obsessive about it, but I REALLY enjoy travelling.
We are driving from NB to Niagra Falls this summer with our truck and 30ft camping trailer. For those who have knowledge in the area we will be in, I need help!

I've just started mapping it on maps.google.com

Day1 So we'd leave from here and go to North Conway NH. We've been here before and I know of a great campground.
Day 2 in N Conway
Day 3 Drive to...Maybe Syracuse next? (or anywhere before there if anyone has a recommendation)
Day 4 Drive to Niagara Falls and have a day and a half there perhaps? Definitely want to do Maid of the Mist. What else should we do here? Is Marine World there?
Day 5 Kitchener Waterloo-we have friends here so spend a night here.
Day 6 I think I'd like to bring the kids into Toronto, they've never been in a big city before. Toronto zoo is on the top of our list. What else should we do (nothing major as we won't have the time...but suggestions for Toronto area? Also, where to camp?)
Day 7 TO
Day 8 I am torn whether we should do Ottawa or Montreal. DH wants to do Montreal. Is there anything specific in either city that is fantastic for a family to see? lol That might be a silly question, but I've never been to neither.
Day 9 or 10 Old Quebec city. I have been here, in high school, and I adore it there! I LOVE history, and the city is so well preserved in it's history, I just love it!
Last day we will make a long drive home I think.

I am trying to make this trip as short as possible, but as relaxed as possible since it is our vacation. We might even go up and around the other direction and through the US last to get some shopping in then.
Any ideas or suggestions are HUGELY appreciated.
We love trying anything and everything new, I love the kids seeing different things.
TIA!

Yes Marineland is in the Falls. You should also definitely do the tunnels behind the Falls and maybe the Butterfly Conservatory. Try to plan to stay in the Falls on a Friday. They do fireworks over the Falls which is very cool. Any other questions just e-mail me. I live just outside of the Falls and work at Fallsview Casino

Ah very neat! WE have so many stops along the way, Niagara will be about a day and a half. We have decided (after a chat at lunch) that we will go through Canada and back around through the US. So we will do TO and then Kitchener to visit our friends, then Niagara arriving in the afternoon, stay all the next day, then all the next AM. So we won't have tons of time. The Falls is a must. MarineLand, what is there? Is it all rides with a few shows? Not sure if that would be worth it or not.

Any idea whether we should stay near Syracuse or go more toward Vermont to stay the night (campground)? Anything in Syracuse of interest?

Even Toronto, wondering what we should do there besides the Zoo. I know there must be tons to do there, but what exactly should we do is the question.

Camping is available near Toronto Zoo at Glen Rouge Park www.trca.ca

CN Tower
Ontario Science Centre
Royal Ontario Museum
Canada's Wonderland

Just want to say, if you decide on Ottawa, the Municipal campground is quite nice. It is about 5-10 minutes from just about everything and you get a wooded site. We enjoyed it. Quebec City has a KOA there. We didn't stay but were planning on it if we decided had decided to.

Hello,

Depending on the age of your kids Marineland can be a waste of time. I only speak of experience having been 4 times in the last 5 years with different ages of nieces, nephews and family friends. For sure it is great to see the mammals, but it is a lot of walking and is a bit run down the last few years. Just my two cents on this.

For Toronto try the city pass, 5 attractions for a discount price. I have had family and relatives from out of town use it and they enjoyed all that it has to offer. If a few cases they didn't get to all the places, so I told them to skip casa Loma. The rest they enjoyed. You can do the ROM and CN tower in the same day.
I am from Toronto so anything else you need feel free to send me a PM.

Yea, that amount of time skip Marineland. It's kind on rundown and not worth the money. Stick to Clifton Hill and the Falls area and you should fill your days pretty easy...

Are you planning on going on the NY turnpike? It is $$$....especially when with trailer. We've never camped around Syracuse....just Dairen Lake which is by Buffalo....and then in Mass. Have a fun trip...I want to do this one day too!
