DS 6 and I went to the Chicago Children's museum last weekend and we're going back tomorrow with a friend and her son. I never realized there was so much to do at Navy Pier! What are some of your favorites? We kind of stuck to the museum, and then grabbed something to eat, I don't know how I missed it, but where is the ferris wheel?? Does it run this time of year? Please tell me what else we should see tomorrow!

How did you miss the ferris wheel??? LOL!! It is about 10 stories tall! It is near the front of the pier, and there is also a carousel and one other small ride. Since the cars are enclosed, I believe it may be running this time of year.

There isn't too much else to do inside, although right now there is a special mini golf featuring Chicago landmarks which looks like fun. I believe it runs through April 10, and all proceeds go to charity. There is a good (but pricy) restaurant called Riva's too. See if any of the boats are doing tours--that's always fun. We usually go to Navy pier more in the summer, since there is a lot more to do, but you should find something to keep you occupied. If nothing else, eat the fresh roasted cinnamon cashews!

There is a lot to do at Navy Pier, unfortunately, most of it is outside. We are having great weather now, so maybe some of the stuff will be available. The mini golf is really fun, and the view from the course is beautiful! There is the ferris wheel, a high swing ride, and I think you can take boat rides on the lake too. You are just a short cab or bus ride away from the museum campus where you could go to the Shedd Aquarium, Adler planetarium or the Field museum. There is also Michigan Avenue and Water Tower Place! Have fun!

Lol!! I can't believe that I missed a 15 story ferris wheel either! I think it may have been because the lot was full there, so we took the trolly and it dropped us off in the parking area, so we weren't really outside at all...

Sorry Dan, I really wanted to go to the Dis meet, but I work until 6pm and then I have to pick up DS, so we wouldn't even be on the road until probably after 7pm, with traffic I don't think it would be worth it. I'll keep my eye out for the next one though!
