Another dumb newbie question, but what is this, and how is this different from a regular verandah? We are a family of 3 with a ds6, we have been to disney a number of times and are dvc members, but we are contemplating our first disney cruise sometime next summer! Any advise would be welcome!

Our first cruise (4nightland/3nightsea) we had the Navigator's Verandah - my son was 5 and couldn't see unless he was standing up on the chair with us holding him. This proved both dangerous (in our opinion) and inconvenient for all.

Our other cruises we opted for the verandah which is glass and that is more convenient for both him to look through and us to enjoy from the room when we are seated.

I highly recommend the verandah's because IF you are feeling a bit queasy or want to rest, it is nice to have that huge patio door with open verandah to look outside! DH and I had colds during our December cruise and had a wonderful time just relaxing on the verandah - in fact, one of the best dinners we had was from room service at sunset leaving Freeport! Very, VERY nice!!
