Hello all,

I recently changed my plans when I saw FOP fastpasses opened and I was able to snag them for our AK full day. I gave up Navi fastpasses though. I was wondering how long standby is for Navi typically in the morning? We plan on rope dropping Safari and was wondering if we did Navi around 10 if the lines would still be short on a 9am opening?

Thank you!

NRJ line doesn't build nearly as fast as FoP. That said, I would try to get there earlier than 10. I got a FoP for 9 AM. Our plan is to get there about 9. Most of the masses will already by in Pandora. We will ride NRJ standby, then ride FoP with our FP+.

We were there in August and rope dropped Navi wwith zero wait while everyone lined up for FOP . By mid morning the wait was around 30-35 minutes.

Thank you both! I am trying to figure out if after we RD Safari if we should head to Navi or if we would have time to go to Dinosaur or Everest before heading to Navi and FOP. We have a 10-11 FOP FP+ and TH reservations at 10:50. Trying to fit in as much as I can before the TH reservation because after that we have Wild Africa Trek at 12:30pm.

Have you ever been to AK before? That is some crazy backtracking and a ton of walking. I would consider changing this strategy. If AK opens at 9am there is no way you can get all that in before 10ish when it would be crucial for you to be at your FOP FP in order to get to your TH reservation at 10:50. I think you need to skip the Safari and EE, rope drop Dino and head to Pandora to try to fit in NRJ before the FOP FP. Good luck.

I would probably RD Navi and then pop over to the Safari. That's more efficient, walking wise, and I think you'll find better lines at the Safari at 9:15 than at NRJ at 9:30/9:45. Safari's a much longer ride and much longer walk to get back to it, then up to Pandora.

ETA: After reading the rest of the thread and your full plan - what are your FPs for that day? I would keep the FoP and see if you can do a Safari one for after your tour. Then in the AM, go Navi - Everest - Dino - FoP. You might even have time to do Everest twice. It will be a lot of walking, but a more efficient use of your time than using half of your pre-breakfast, non-FP time for the Safari.

This! AK is 580 acres, much bigger than any other park (MK is 107 acres, EPCOT is 300, DHS is 135). Granted some of that is animal enclosures, but it's still spread out. If you really want to RD the safari, I'd then head straight to Pandora for those two rides, then work your way around the park (I would head to Dinoland USA next, but that's just me).

I would not wait until 10 to do Na'Vi. We just got back from our trip. We missed rope drop by about 10 minutes. By the time we made it over to Na'Vi it was about 9:20 - we waited at least 20 minutes, if not more. When we got off the ride (9:45ish) the posted wait was 50 minutes and the line was stretched down the sidewalk out of the ride entrance.
