Is there any difference in the ride experience between daylight and nighttime? Or is everything inside so you can't tell any difference (even in the line area)?

It's ride itself is indoors. The line area is outdoors, pretty much, but very covered (not a lot of light coming in from outdoors). Lots of thatch roofing material hanging over the edges. You could tell it's dark or light out, but doesn't really change it a lot.

Agree with above poster. The ride it's self is totally indoors, no difference.

We did a FP+ at night, it was very quick. I do not even remember the FP+ queue details as we only did it x1.

Thanks Heidi! We are planing our first visit next month in the evening, because over the years AK has been almost unbearably hot during summer days. Wanted to make sure we wouldn't miss anything on this ride our first time. Coming back in the fall for a full day.

We have a FP, but if the line isn't too long we might try twice just to experience the line.

Great answer as usual. Appreciate it.

Sounds like a great plan, I like the idea of coming back in the fall for a full day.

I would go through the queue if the wait time is short. For us, while the boat ride scenery was top notch, I would not want to wait very long to see it again. Everyone has their own wait line tolerances, so you will be able to make up your minds after seeing it with a FP+.

At night, your eyes have adjusted to darkness, so an indoor ride like Navi will appear less dark. Take the Haunted Mansion as an example. If you go into the ride during the day, the Mansion will appear darker and gloomier, which could add to the atmosphere.
