We had the most wonderful time tonight at the celabration of athletes. It started with each state marching in with the state flag. Then the Ky athletes with the Governor leading marched in. Bruce Jenner carried in the torch to light the flame.

Then the ceremony to bring in the American flag, full honors and a nice presentation by the 101st AirBorne. Lots of inspirational speeches by gold medal winners and by the governor.

One of the cool things was how we were making a statement that age is only a state of mind. That health and wellness was a choice and not an accident.

After all the presentations and speeches we had a great concert by Ronnie Milsap. The evening was the kind that made you forget about being in the sun all day and how you were a little sore from the competition.

I'm sure you know by now how proud of you we all are! You are also a huge inspiration to those of you who have a few more years under our belts! I know from the SR Olympians in our area how seriously they take their competition, so to be ranked #9 in the nation is quite an accomplishment!
