I was thinking of getting the 2003 book for $10 plus shipping (Mousesavers), if the National coupons will do me any good. Does anyone have this book?

Do the coupons get you a good deal? I currently have a rate of $189/week for my September trip. I'd love to hear back.

I don't want to waste the money because there isn't much of anything else I would use in the book at this point.

Thanks!!:)

I would save my money and try some of the codes on Mary's site.
There are many discounts out there for free, like WalMart. Sam's Club, BJ's, Costco have discounts, AARP has discounts. IMHO, you do just as well with the free codes.

You might want to purchase the book for your local area. The National coupons are in all the books, I believe. I don't know about your specific dates but I recently got double upgrade and $15 off with coupon.

Thanks for your replies,

I got my rate using the Vacation Outlet code and coupon from Mousesavers ($152). I'm just surprised at how much more it will cost us than it did in the spring when we were just there.

Maybe I just got an incredible rate the last time. I got a base rate using the same code and coupon in April for $95 excluding taxes and fees!!:Pinkbounc

Was that a great deal or have the rates gone way up??

Thanks agin for the help!

The rates have been steadily climbing since April.

Thanks Gail for clearing that up for me because it just seemed peculiar that the rates were so different.

Due to the decrease in demand, nearly all of the major rental agencies have decreased the size of their fleet. That's why prices have been increasing. They've matched the fleet to the demand.

Thanks all, I finally got a great rate yesterday for 8 days of $200 (this includes all fees and taxes) for emerald aisle. It's higher than in May, but it's a rate I can live with.:D

Not a bad rate for an intermediate, hopefully there will be something larger on the aisle.

How did you find that rate of 200.00 with taxes? What time of year are you going. I am going Sept 5 - Sept. 13th and cannot find a good rate anywhere? Any suggestions??

Thank you!!!

Using codes from www.mousesavers.com or using your BJs Sams Club or Costco codes and coupons (assuming you are a member).
I booked mine in April with my AARP code and a 20.00 coupon from BJs. Total, full size, all taxes, Emerald Choice, 163.00 for the week.

I used the Carlson Wagonlit contract #, with the Vacation Outlet coupon and rate code WWEB for National. Again, as Gail said, all on Mousesavers.

Good luck!:D
