We had reservations through National Emerald Isle - pick up on Feb. 7th at 2 p.m. --- The isle was full of mini vans & SUV's -- we picked a Chevy Tahoe. About 1/2 way to Disney we noticed that the 'engine light' was on & when we unloaded our suitcases, we noticed that the license tab's had expired in January!! We called National to tell them about the problems & were told to "bring it back to the airport"!!!! We said NO way -- it wasn't our fault -- they then said that someone would be there to exchange to vehical with in 2 hours. We gave them the hotel & room number along with our 2 cell phone numbers. Two hours went by & no replacement --- another call to National & we were then told 45 minutes -- NO replacement!! It took 4 hours before someone showed up --- the guy delivering our 'Pontiac Classic G-6' - parked his truck with the flat bed behind it - right where the buss's pick up (we were staying at Pop Century)!!! We got a call from the front desk telling us to get down there!! Still can't figure out why the driver didn't call us so we could tell him where the Tahoe was parked. We did enjoy the Classic!! We are glad that the rest of the vacation was smooth sailing!!!!

I wonder why they wouldn't let you go to the National rental counter at the Car Care Center in WDW? Seems like that would have been a lot less trouble to exchange a car there.

We asked about doing that & were told that NO cars were available from that location! :confused3
