National Last Minute

Hmm... Here's a thought for anyone renting at National:
Every Tuesday National posts their "Last Minute Specials To Go" at this address, http://www.nationalcar.com/hotDealsTemplate.do?msg=ZL_LastMinuteSpecials (if that doesn't work, you can get to it from their home page).

The last minute specials are valid for rentals starting within 2 weeks.

For months out I've been checking codes and watching the prices, and the last minute special was cheaper than all of them.

So, my advice is to book the best deal you can get ahead of time, but also check the last minute specials on the last 2 Tuesdays before you go. You might end up with an even better deal!

Alamo (sister company of National) also posts their last minute specials on Tuesday mornings. I prefer National because of the Emerald service, but sometimes Alamo can be a little cheaper.
