National Last Minute Deals

I was just playing around with the National website and noticed that the last minute deals for next week, are considerably better than the rate I had found earlier (which I thought was pretty good).

Anyone else know much about these last minute deals? I'm thinking I'll just check as soon as they include my travel times and see if I can do better. Do codes still apply with last minute deals? Is there anything else to take into account?

Last minute deals come with their own contract ID, but you can use a coupon code if you have one.

Have you signed up for the email? I get an email from National and Alamo announcing the new "Hot Deals" or "Last Minute Specials". I would definitely check them out though! I like to play around and "pretend" I am going in September and during the week when they have the special prices. Using their code (6600435), if I were traveling 9/3-9/13 (instead of my actual dates 10/16-10/26) my rate would be over $100 more than my current ressie...but I know these change and my pretend dates have a holiday in them...so who knows. If they work for you then use them! It looks like Tuesday (9/4) is when the new specials will come out! Good luck!
