National Holidays! Your opinion of them!

Let's be respectful of everyone here and not "bash" each others opinions or names of the holidays! Please!

I'll start. I guess, I pick other. There are some holidays I could live without like Columbus Day. Having worked retail there are many times when we don't get a holiday like so many other professions! I don't want them to disappear all together either!

Less gift-giving holidays and more holidays where we just get a day off from work.

I love them right now. I get off school, so I can go into McDonald's and work. Yahoo for teenage car insurance!

I don't really get holidays off in my business, but I do like them anyway. There seem to be a lot of what I call "Hallmark holidays" designed to get you to send greeting cards. Then there are the semi-holidays, like Columbus Day, that are part holiday for some and non-holiday for many others.
