National for this Wednesday went down

My car rental for seven days early Dec 1 until very late Dec 7th (which makes it actually 7 days), went down to $122.19 (including all taxes and fees) using entertainment and Priceless code. My Feb ressie went up (except I kept what I had) $100..and since i have two cars, that's a lot!

Last week I rebooked and went from $170 down to $147. Now I have an 8 day rental for $123! Can you believe that? That is the cheapest I have ever gotten for 8 days, in December, in Orlando!

just figured it out.....

the rate changes for some reason when i add a day to my reservations, drops from 129 - 109 and extra day rate goes from 28 to 18, you have an excellent rate there

it seems to have something to do with going over a full week, have tried other codes and it brings up the same base rate of 109 and extra day of 18

it is like you are getting a free day since a straight 7 day early/mid december rental is 122~ ( i can see that same 8 day rate of 123~ for dec 15 -23 )

the 7 day rate of 122~ remains available until dec 15 - 22 also


however, later in december it is a different story

Thanks for the tip! Dropped another $10! Started with $142 on 9/30, it went up to $160 shortly after, dropped to $130 2 weeks ago, $122 last week and now $112 (EA intermediate, priceless, $20 Entertainment)!

You may want to go to: Mousesavers there are many codes on there. Your rental may be high because you are renting from Sanford, and it is not as busy.

Just checked tonight and another $20 less for full-size - down to $127.00 for 6 days - decided against Intermediate off EA (down to $109.00) since we won't be getting in until late and may not have much of a choice at that point. I need to call tomorrow and make sure I haven't held anything I've forgotten to cancel !

I've always known that rental car rates jump all over, but this is really interesting info. It's $111 for 5 days in December (Priceless + $20 Entertainment coupon). If I could stay 7 days, it's $112. If I could stay 8 days, it drops to $109! Does this justify staying 3 more days?????
