Okay, I finally had the guts to join the free Emerald Club membership listed on Mousesavers. My question is, can you use either Emerald Isle or Reserve with this membership? I tried to punch in request for a mini van and it said this service was not available at Orlando location when I used the Emerald Isle option. Is Emerald reserve available with this membership?

Emerald Aisle is for intermediate size cars only (I think).

I got the free membership from mousesavers also & am renting a full size. So, I'm doing Emerald Reserve.

As far as I can tell, there's really not much difference between Emerald Aisle & Emerald Reserve

That's correct, Emerald Aisle is only for intermediate reservations. There is a possibility (far from a guarantee) that there will be upgrades parked on the Emerald Aisle. There's a long thread on this board about what people have seen on the Emerald Aisle. Almost everytime I've used it, I got a full size.

For Emerald Reserve, you go to the size aisle you have reserved and that's what you will get.

In both cases, you skip the counter inside the airport and go directly to the garage. Inside the garage, you make your selection (the keys are either in the door lock or the ignition). Your papers are processed at the booth as you drive out.

Thank you for the info. I tried reserve and it worked but the rate is much higher than what I reserved in May. I got Oct. 8, from airport returning to Swan/Dolphin on the 11 for $156.48 total. It is now $246. I guess I'll have to go to the counter to check in. Do you think they would adjust my ressie to Emerald Club without changing my ressie dollar amount?

have you tried to modify the original reservation

log into emerald club

choose modify

then change your level of service

you have to confirm any changes so you do not risk your original reservation being lost

they actually give you a side by side comparison of the reservation before you are asked to make any changes

I'll try it, or rather I'll have by DH try, I'm not that good with computers as it is. Thanks.

I'm no car rental expert...this is my first time. But last night I rented a mini-van from National for a base of $235 for 5 full days..Oct 29-Nov 3. I only used a code from Mousesaver...I think it was the WWeb code? I rented using something National called "Quick Rent" which means I can supposedly bypass the check-in desk, go directly to the mini-van I want and drive to to an exit where I'm guessing someone will verify I'm not stealing it! This option was offered as I was checking out online.
I love to hear from anyone that used this Quick Rent service at National before. I"m a bit leery that a mini-van will actually be sitting there waiting! Can it be true?? Our flight arrives at 9:30pm and I want to get to the hotel as soon as possible. Also, is this a decent rate for company service inside the airport?
