I'm currently holding two car reservations for our upcoming trip and not sure which one I should cancel. :confused3

Our travel dates are Nov 18-27th. We are flying into MCO but out of TPA (grabbed a much cheaper flight which was hard to find over Tday weekend!)

Budget - $244 for an intermediate size car. No need for a shuttle.

National (Emerald Aisle) - $255 for an intermediate BUT we get to pick out our car and hopefully will grab something bigger. The downsize is that National's not at the terminal at TPA so we'll need to take a shuttle.

Anyone taken a shuttle at Tampa to the terminal? I will be traveling alone w/ my 13 yo, 11 yo, and 4 yo.

What would YOU do?? I'd love some opinions!!!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I would go with National. You might luck out and end up with a mini van or suv!

We took the shuttle at TPA several years ago, and it was easy as pie. Dropped off the car, shuttle was right there, took us right to the door near where we checked in. I think it was actually easier than schlepping through the parking lot to get to the terminal at other airports.

The TPA shuttle is very easy and frequent. I am usually all about price, but for $10 I would go with National and pick out my own car.

As a % of the total cost it is really quite small. I would go for EA for that small of an increase.

Thank you everyone for your input! :thumbsup2
I think I've decided to keep the National EA reservation. I really like the idea of picking out the car.:)
And as a PP said, it might even be easier having a shuttle drop us off then having to pull our luggage through the garage.

Make sure to keep rechecking your National reservation. I have a second week in Dec trip, have had 2 price reductions in less than a week, most recently today, about $10-12 each time. And I had 2 earlier reductions before these, from when I had made the original reservation, probably back in the summer, August or so.

Thanks for the heads up. I've found the same thing for my first week in December trip. I was pleased to see the price drop earlier this week, but I might not have thought to check again today without the info. Mine was down another $10-12 today too.
