National EA at Disneyland

I joined the Disneyclub and get a free membership to Emerald Aisle. My question is we want to rent a mini van (w/children seats) for a week. First off do they have these kind of vans? Second chances of getting one when you rent a mid size and hope for it or should we rent one from the get go. Or can I rent a mid size and use a coupon I have to double upgrade?

did not see any vans on the aisle when we were there in may...

do not know if they would have them as much as orlando would..

I flew into SNA (Orange County) and used EA. I didn't see any minivans either. I think if you really need a minivan, you should reserve one specifically. You'll also want to call the specific location to make sure that their minivans inlcude integrated child seats. If not, you'll probably want to schlep your own since the car seats that National rents (@ $5 per day extra) are usually pretty icky.

If you must have a minivan you must reserve one! You are not guaranteed one on the EA. As I keep saying EA is marketed to business travelers like me and we don't want mini-vans and will make them bring us a car!

Also, I am not sure that National has the type of vans with the built in seats. They probably would not gurantee you one anyway. You are probably reduced to carrying or renting car seats!

Another question..... We want to rent in Orange County Airport and return in San Diego. Will be using the car for 9 days. With DC discount & $15.00 coupon from Entertainment the rate is $224.54 with all taxes & fees.. Do you guys think this is good or what might be better?? Couldn't use my free day coupon from DC since returning to different location.

We will be using the EA for full size vehicle hoping for something larger being there for luggage and stuff. What is the likelyhood of this happening.. We could deal with just a full size but would love to be surprised with something larger..

They may not have any minivans with built in car seats. The last time I checked, some of the auto manufacturers were discontinuing the option because it was rarely ordered. If you need a car seat, I wouldn't count on one being in the van. You would then get stuck renting one from the agency...

We have now decided to just bring our own seats because we did have problems finding car with them in it and were advised the ones they rent are in poor shape..

Any comments on my rate I was quoted just above ??

Check Alamo prices (online) for car rentals in California. You can use Quick Rent or Quicksilver(free). I have to use Alamo for business trips inside the state, because National in So. Calif is very expensive (about twice the price of Alamo).
