National DC discount and car class

Is there a restriction on the class of car you book with the DC discount? The DC website doesn't indicate there is any restriction, however I can only seem to get it to work on Full size and up. Wasn't sure if this was to due to a restriction, or that the allotment of discounts for lower classes during my time period were used up.

Just curious, did you guys use last years code from Mousesavers, or did you use this years code from the DC website? I can't get the one from the DC website to give me any discount at all.

I used last years code. I didn't try the new one for the compact. But, with my other reservation (for Easter) the new code didn't give me a good discount. I actually booked my Easter Res. last October and haven't been able to lower it other than adding on the coupon from the DC newsletter. The weekly rate before discounts for a full size was $169.99. (but I needed it for 2 more days)

I threw away my DC newsletter because at the time we weren't renting a car. Well, change of plans and no DC coupon. Do you need the actual coupon to get the discount or just the coupon code? I checked the DC website and I saw no mention of the coupon from the newsletter, only the new discount code for National which didn't give me a discount. The old code worked though but I don't know if they will give me a hard time when we go to pick up the car because of this "expired" code. Do you think if I called DC they would send me out a new coupon or give me the coupon code? Thanks!

It's worth a call to save $20. As far as I know, you have to show the coupon and your disney card. I actually had to call National Customer Service to have the coupon applied and I think if there was a problem with the reservation - they should've let me know at that point. (I didn't want to chance trying to change it on-line) I'm waiting to see if Mary from mousesavers reports back re: national/codes when she returns. Email me if you need to code number.

I got a 20% discount with the "old" DC coupon, but could not get anything with the new one from the DC web site. According to EC Customer Service, the old DC coupon is still good for the discount.

I tried the "old code" and got the 20% discount on an intermediate class car. Wouldn't work for an economy or compact, though. With the $20 coupon, I saved about $55
