National Day of Prayer

Do you have anything going on in your communities?

We always have an observance on the steps of the State Capitol, but my church is also having one on our front steps at lunch today (which is much closer to my workplace)

A local fast food joint had a big outdoor prayer service from 12-1 in honor of National Day of Prayer. I haven't heard as much about it as I thought. I don't think my church had anything--they didnt' mention it Sunday if they did.

We came close to posting about this subject at the same time. I was mentioning in my thread that our community comes together in prayer this evening. This will be the third year that my DS(14) has been asked to say a prayer for the educators in our town. I'm so proud of him, he does an amazing job and doesn't get the least bit nervous speaking in front of a crowd. We were just finishing up his prayer and laying out his suit for tonight.

Our church combines with 3-5 other churches in the community and holds an evening service...wonder how attendance will be since it conflicts with the finale of Friends?
