My arrival time has changed from 9:00 to 10:30....do I need to modify my car reservation!? I tried to redo it completely as I have read that I shouldnt try to modify an existing reservation (why?) but unfortunately the contract code I used originally is not working now and it is quite a bit more money!

Do you think there will be a problem if I show up and hour and half later ...... ?

Thanking you all......I have previously used Dollar and I hadnt had to modify plus they dont require your credit card info the way that National does. (National beats their price by $100!!)

I have always used EA with National and never modified my ressie unless it changed materially (i.e. more than 12 hours). I wouldn't think that 90 minutes will be an issue at all. They certainly don;t have your car waiting with the engine running when you show up. When they ask for your pick up and drop off times they are trying to simply manage inventory within ranges and provide an accurate rental quote. You should be fine. Have fun.

As stated, there should be no problem, they hold the reservation for 24 hours after your stated arrival time.
To answer why you should not try to modify your ressie, it is because often your rate goes up, you have to go to the counter rather than EA or EC, and a few other little things that can cause the rate to go up. We, as in this group, have found it better to just rebook.
They ask for your credit information because if you don't show, they may charge your card 50.00 for a no show fee.
They do not, as Dollar does, put a hold on your credit card for more than the actual fee. Dollar puts the fee on hold plus a percentage (which escapes me at this time).
