Anyone use Code : 5004625 for their rental?

Any issues?

it seems to get me the best rate.

Are you State Employee of GA? If not, then you are not eligible to use the code.

Discussions of "iffy", "questionable" or codes that eligibility is reasonable certain to not apply to a general poster are discouraged.

Try Avis with code K199060 and coupon muwa003 for $35 off. Both are 100% legitimate for anyone to use.

Does coupon "muwa003" take off an additional $35 from the price quoted when you use code "K199060"? On the page where Avis gives you a price it says: "Coupon discounts are NOT included in the estimated total, but will be calculated and applied at the time of rental."

Thanks.

It takes it off when you rent. It was on Avis' website and you didn't need to print out anything. I used it for my late December rental. I believe it expired on 12/31.

The Avis codes give me a great rate.... I just have a few questions. :rolleyes1

Where do these codes come from? :guilty:

Avis just gives an "estimated total", when do I get the actual total? I don't want to be surprised at the rental counter... :scared1:

My estimated total is $199.63, when will I know the total with the coupon? Will my total be $164.63?? :dance3:

I have a lower rate than $199.63 with another company I just want to make sure I am getting the best deal. :yay:

Thanks so much!!

Do not use a code you don't know the provenance of.

While a booking and even a car check out might go smoothly, unauthorized use of a code could result in the rental agency's weaseling out of some detail at any time without warning. In one recorded instance the renter got into a collision and no one, not even the renter's own insurance company, would cover the damage "because unauthorized use of a code violated a rule in the contract".

Bring the brochure describing the code, for example from Entertainment Book, Sam's Club, AAA, United Airlines, etc.

I found the codes/coupons on Mousesavers.com so they are legit... I answered one of my questions, but any help with the rest of the questions would be appreciated.

Yes, the code on Mousesavers. It is actually from the Orlando Convention and Visitor's Bureau. As for the coupon, it will not be taken off until later ... which is why your price is "estimated". I think it is still valid. If I type in another coupon I know expired I get an error message. If I type in the muwa003 coupon everything looks good including the words "accepted" on the final screen. You DO NOT need to print out the coupon as it was on the front page of the Avis website. If you are feeling too nervous about that one, you can try the current $30 code off the Avis website. It too is good until 12/31. Just go to the Avis website and find the link to the coupon :).

Do you pick up the Avis' cars right in the garage at the airport?

The price is 'estimated' as taxes and fees can change between booking and time of rental. If these increase you can be charged extra. It does not happen very often and the change is usually small.

The $35 off coupon actually ends up taking off more than $35 as it is applied to the rate. Some of the taxes and fees are percentages of the rate so these decrease slightly.

Good question. Did you check the website? I know I'm an Avis Preferred member and the first time I rent, I do expect to have to go to the counter - for some administrative stuff, I think.

If you are Avis Preferred, you can go to the kiosk in the garage.

I thought this thread was about NATIONAL CAR RENTAL ???
If you read the thread, you'll see that it was supposed to be about a specific code with National. That code is available for a very small subset of people and it's quite likely that the OP is not eligible for it. It used to be that National had the best prices, but that's no longer the case. Would you recommend that I stay "on topic" and NOT offer the OP a good rate at a different company? If so, that's silly!
