National Car Rental / SUV sizes

At National, a "mid-size SUV" is described as "Chevy Equinox or similar". What other models have you seen in this category? Is an Equinox the size of a Rav4 / CRV, or is it bigger than that?

I'm guessing that a Rendezvous is probably "Standard SUV".

Jeep Liberty is another mid-size SUV. Though last time I rented an SUV, i rented a standrard size and there was no differentition in the SUV row between the two sizes, so I just picked the one with the most cargo space, the Rendezvous.

Interesting that there was no differentiation - do you suppose this means I can pick anything on the SUV aisle, even if all I have reserved is a mid-size SUV?

I know there was a similar situation with economy & compact a few years ago, though at the time I just assumed I would have had to take an economy if there had been any there.

I'd love to get a Rendezvous, since I drive one every day.
