I just rented a 1 week minivan from National and have some questions. I keep seeing everyone say how rates get cheaper every day, but I haven't seen that at all. Rates for what exactly? I've got the $244 weekly deal plus using the ent coupon/contract id, I have a total price of $257.60. How to get it any cheaper? I tried priceless contract id, but it came up the same as the entertainment contract id. Both scenarios i used the ent coupon code too.
Also, when I booked, it gave me a conf # and said I was counter service. It didn't require me to give a CC # for confirmation. Is that typical? I've seen some people on here talk about signing up for emerald aisle or something like that. If I do that I don't have to go to counter? Can it be tied to this res? Or do I have to cancel and rebook with EA? Also, will I get same rates under EA with these codes? I don't want to have to do a bunch of calling to get the same rates with EA.
