National Car Rental Question

I am not new to renting cars from National, but darned if I can remember how much of a "hold" they will put on your credit card when you pick up your vehicle. Anyone know? Do they hold more than the estimate?

(My Details: Emerald Aisle service, Intermediate 2/4 door car, 1-week rental, total estimate is $176.60)

Thanks, Gail! This is as I suspected, but I've been experiencing brain freeze a lot lately. I'm sure it's just a seasonal thing .....yes, that's it......a "seasonal" thing....please, just let me humor myself with this thought.

I can verify Gail's reply. I rented last week from National. I checked my card mid-week online and it showed a pending charge amount exactly matching the amount on the reservation. It was the only charge I had on that card.

Oh, I like the "seasonal thing", that really works for me. I am in the middle of moving, and I am having "seasonal things", aka DUH moments, a lot !!! Glad I could help and you are totally welcome.
