We are flying into mco the last week in June. :woohoo: We are renting through National and I am a member of the Emerald club. I would like to add another person in our party besides my wife to be able to drive the rental car. We may want to split up a couple days and do other things. Do I need to stop by the National counter before going to the Emerald Aisle and add this person or can I do that when I drive the car to the check out booth?
Thanks :worship:

If the additional driver is not another "authorized driver" for an Emerald Club member, I beleive you will need to go to the counter to add the driver. There is likely to also be an additional fee of $10 per day.

There may be other companies you can rent from without paying the additional fee for a non-spouse additional driver, but your options are more limited if you need to have 3 drivers.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Yes, as mentioned, it does have to be done at the counter and there is a daily fee. We wanted to add our adult daughter, but since she does not live under our roof it was not possible to do for free. We passed.

We have a reservation for Saturday with National and I'm picking up a car from the Emerald Isle. :cool1:
I just called National and asked that question. :dance3:
She told me my wife is automatically considered an additional driver at no extra charge. :worship:
We can go to the Emerald Isle, pick out a car and show both our drivers licenses and credit card at the booth when we exit the garage. :cool1:
Good luck all,
Joe
