My youngest, Katelyn, received a package yesterday. WOO HOO. It was from Daniela (aka luvinyou). Thank you sooo much. She got Hannah Montana stickers and the cutest outfit. Here are the pictures...

Katelyn loves Goofy, so Daniela made her a skirt and a Goofy on her shirt. She loved it.

And the twirling begins, It must be a girly thing

That is so cute. Isn't Daniela wonderful? Our package was terrific as well. I can't believe this is all really happening. Your daughter looks so darling in her Goofy outfit. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Your trip is getting close! You must be soooo excited! Have you received all your plans from MAW yet?

I love big families ( I would love to have another one- but DH is very against it. After what we went through with Nathan at birth, it is too scary for him. Plus I guess I am probably getting too old now-boo hoo!)! My 3 oldest have been at church camp for a week and it just feels weird around here. We have 2 more years before my oldest goes to college and we are already sad about it!

Your son's story breaks my heart. How hard on the entire family. I am so glad you have this trip.

Robin- are you still buying a ticket for an extra day at WDW? I read that ticket prices might be going up on August 3 ( evidently, they are supposed to post the price increase on August 1). If you are buying a ticket, you might want to check it out.

Thanks for the tip. We are going to buy an extra day. Where did you read that the ticket prices were going up? Did you hear by how much?. We are a AAA member and we can get tickets there, but they are the same price as buying them at the gate. So were were going to wait until we get there or buy them on line and pick them up at the gate.

Have you looked at prices online via Undercover Tourist? Mousesavers is always sending links for special discounts with them.

I believe I read it on Mousesavers.com- or maybe allearsnet or both! On allearsnet it said that last August they increased the prices for a one day ticket by $4. That's not a huge amount, but if you are as frugal as I am, every dollar counts- hey that's a churro a piece!

I just checked the tracking on the package I sent last week. Here's what it says:

"We attempted to deliver your item at 10:43 AM on July 28, 2008 in ************ and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. "

So, it sounds like it's there and you just need to pick it up. I've never sent something general delivery to a post office, so I was worried it wouldn't get there!

We got another package through the mail today. Oh My Gosh, what a beaufitiful job HeatherSue did for Morgan She just LOVED it. She did not want to take it off to go ride her bike. Here are the pictures...

HeatherSue my 2 teanagers just love the skirt. Did you use a pattern? If you did can you tell me which one. They both would like skirts like that. We all noticed the different stitches at the hem of the skirt. how cute. We were all telling her to turn so we could see the different stitches I have an embriodery machine, and I wish I knew how to do all the appliques that you all do. Any suggestions?

Robin, YOU have made MY day!! Morgan looks so pretty in the outfit!! I'm so glad she likes it!! What a compliment that your teenagers liked it, too! I'm surprised you noticed the different stitches at the hem!

How cool that you're considering "paying it forward" after your trip.

I do know what you can do with that embroidery machine of yours- send it to me, I'll trade you! I've just got a plain 'ol machine!

I wrote an applique tutorial that you can take a look at if you're thinking of trying it. I tried to gear it toward beginners and included lots of pictures:

There are tons of great sewing links if you follow the link to my sister's bookmark site in my siggy! Plus, after your ban is over, the ladies on the disboutique thread are always more than happy to answer any questions! There are some on there with embroidery machines, so I'm sure they could help you out with that, too.

As for the pattern, I used the tween flared skirt pattern from youcanmakethis.com. But, I wanted it to be "twirlier", so I made the strips flare out more at the bottom. I also added 2 extra strips to it. Here's a link to the pattern:

Well, I did some investigating and found out that the Spectromagic parade is not running while we are there . We did see it last year, but Nathan does not remember to much. Oh well, we will focus on seeing the Fantasmic show instead. We found out that the main pool in the CBR is also closed . It is the pool that looks like a fort and has water canons and slides . It will not open until the middle of September. The kids have checked out the web site and were looking forward to checking out that pool.
Nathan really wanted to go to one of the water parks. We might have to do that now . We'll see. We will just let the magic happen

Rats, don't you hate it when you find out something you were planning for is closed. We will miss Lights, Motors, Action but the parade will be going. Sorry about the pool but the water parks do look like a lot of fun. I am not much of a waterpark person. Good plan to just let the magic happen.

I think they are beautiful too, but I am kinda partial. thank you. I am proud of all my kids. They are just good kids We are still waiting for more details from our wish granters. Hopfully soon.
