Scooby, love what you've done with the Disneyland journal pages! Wondered if you could change out the castle for Sleeping Beauty's castle. It's what is representative of Disneyland while WDW has Cindy's castle. Just trying to keep it real~:)

Kila,

I want to know if this is an okay direction? Am I on the right track? It's a different format, but I can go back closer to what Natalie did. Tell me, layout wise what you want, and tell me which type of box you like. I printed it, and It looks great, but it may depend on the age of your dd which lines you like, or if you want more lines which kind of lends itself to the other format. :lovestruc

No this is great. I don't need much room after each question-maybe a few lines. I know the kids won't be overly detailed with their answers. :hippie:

:lmao: Sue! I didn't know there was a difference....:lmao: So much for being a dutiful former CM. I have an awesome picture of DL castle, a photo, but it is landscape. Let me see what I can find for DL castle. I may have to have you look at it to tell me if it is the right one. BTW.....tell me the difference? :rotfl2:

I realize they are a little "scrap"ish. I scrapbook, so they may tend to lend itself towards scrapbooking than journaling. I guess the difference is you see more on the page than writing more on the page. It's totally up to you though, I can do them either way. I don't know if it's stubborn or creative, I always have to do my idea first....:lmao:

I am using Natalie's files for our Nov/Dec trip this year!

I already have the passports made, and am working on the autograph pages and journals. Natalie...I know you are away but if you are reading this, you are AWESOME! I so appreciate you sharing your talents.

Scooby...I know that you probably can't reinvent the wheel, but is there any way that a journal page in THIS format can be made for MVMCP? I'd like to include that in DD's journal, since that will be a trip highlight, I am sure. I am still fiddling with it on this end also...but I am totally not as talented as either of the two of you ladies!

Here's an attempt. The problem is finding a background similar or that I like. Again, I can't do exactly what she's done, but I can try and get close. Let me know what you think, if you want to go back the other way, that's fine, I just will need a little time to work on it. Wow! I just read your post for the 5th time, and just now caught you want it for Christmas. Duh! Sorry, I'll do something for Christmas.

Bahahaha!! Now that's funny... Anyways, 'my' castle (I'm a DL gal) is much smaller in size than the one in WDW. DL's castle is known as Sleeping Beauty's Castle, while WDW's is known as Cinderella's Castle. The spires on Cindy's castle reach up to the sky, while Sleeping Beauty's does not have the spires. We have 'spikes'. Also, there is one golden spike if you look at a picture to the left. It represents the fact that Walt said Disneyland will never be finished.

I'm a scrapbooker also, but every time I go down to the park with others, I've also used journal pages. I know they're supposed to be for 'kids', but it kinda gives a little extra something to the trip, regardless of the 'kid's age'. I have tons of pix of the DL castle, so if you need one or two, just give me a holler. I also want to say, even tho you feel those pages are 'simplistic', I think they are fine. It's just nice to have a little space to jot some quick thoughts of the day as opposed to a long diatribe...(I do that when I go on long trips~trip diary...)

Anyhow, I've rambled on long enough...if you're in need of any DL/DCA pix, please let me know. I'm known to take lots of random shots of stuff that no one thinks twice about. I've got quite a collection...Or, better yet, if you're in need of something specific, I've got a trip planned in September with a trip to Club 33. Now there's a photo opportunity! Like I said, just give me a shout and I'd be happy to help!!

I can add the questions for you, really it's just a blank for anyone to use. Let me know which questions you want added.

I miss going to DL every week or so. I was a CM in high school and after, about 3 years. We still lived in So. Cal. until my oldest was 1 1/2. Even when we moved to SLC, and had 4 kids, we would go visit my parents for a week or two and still use our passes almost every month. Ah, I miss the Land. We went for the first time WDW at Christmas. It was a ton different. It made me appreciate DL all the more.

Scooby, You're awesome! Thank you so much. If you have time, could you work on Isabella's front cover?

Thanks,
Melanie

Hi Scooby! I see that you do alot of journal pages that are just amazing! Do you do any scrapbooking pages without lines? I'm not looking for anything specific, just some disigns that I could use in either my autograph book and a scrapbook that I'm going to make when we get back.

Thanks!
