I must say your handling the photo shoot thing really well and I agree maybe it is best in the long run, perfect excuse to the dress back on.

Yeah, the whole MK shoot issue has been a bit of a drag but I guess it's just one of those things. Fingers crossed we can arrange something for next year.

I'm sorry about cancelling the MK shoot, but I agree with you--- I think for a lot of couples, it's just more special after the wedding, and you must do what's right for you!

But, I do really like that dress! I know ALL girls say this and it makes me think of 27 Dresses, but I really think she'll be able to wear it again!

I think you have made the right decision with regard to the MK shoot. It is a shame but I really feel there is a lot of heartache associated with the shoots at the moment. Perhaps when you return to do it next year, it will have sorted itself out a bit.

Those MK shoots seem to cause a lot of stress. I think you made the right call-- if it wasn't just the way you wanted, you might not have been happy with the photos. Plus, if you do the shoot in the future, you can have another special WDW trip to plan!!

I think you made the right decision with regards to MK shoot. You have to be 100% happy when you are spending so much money.

Hi everyone!

Well, I'm clearly rather rubbish at this Planning Journal lark aren't I???!! I'm sorry for not updating sooner and I hope you haven't all given up on me

Soooooooo, for those of you who are still with me, what's been happening? Well most exciting, today was my first dress fitting!!! Happy to say I still love the dress and mostly it's the length that needs taking up and taking in slightly, so no major alterations required. Yay!

We also have the suits for the guys all sorted!! So that's another thing to tick off the list!

I have to say I've been a little down recently, mostly down to the whole construction business. I began to freak out about the noise possibilities, not getting any good photos and videography and so on and so on...... I really tried to not let it bother me but then reading what was going on with he walls and with other brides...ugghh...I just got myself in a bit of a state over it all and didn't get a whole lot of sleep!! I think with the MK Shoot cancellation, then this, I was left a bit disappointed. I have to say though that our planner has been really fab through it all, offering me lots of advice and opinions. She has been great and I'm really grateful to her for trying to put my mind at ease. Anyway, the more I think about it the more I realise I can't do a thing about it so why am I fretting and losing sleep. At the end of the day I needed to realise it's about the marriage, not just the day and i'm sure it will be beautiful. I think for a minute I lost sight of that.

I think that's all for now. It's 35 days till we fly to Orlando so it's all very exciting!! I promise to try and be a better Bride and update more during these last few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did too, for a while. It's hard when you feel like DFTW doesn't think your wedding is important. The closer I get to the wedding day, the happier I am (and less focused on everything other than DF). I hope you will feel the same way!

Thank you! Yes, I am feeling much better about it all. Our photographer posted a shoot on his blog the other day and it was a wedding since the walls went up and you wouldn't know they were there at all!! I agree, the closer it is getting the better I am feeling.

HI everyone,

Got a few more things ticked off the list week. Most importantly we paid our final amount today! It's weird but yesterday I felt like a real weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I think it was knowing that it would be all done and dusted today! A It was like a real sense of relief!! Weird!

Also, I ordered some socks for DF that say "Incase You Get Cold Feet" on them! I thought it was quite a cute idea. I've also got him some Mickey Mouse cufflinks! I was planning on keeping them a total surprise but then the other day he was looking online and said he thought he would buy himself some cufflinks for the wedding day!! So I had to kind of spoil the surprise by asking him not to buy himself any, so unfortuantely he knows he's getting some cufflinks but atleast he doesn't know they are Mickey ones.

We also got a really cute waistcoat and trousers for Phil's nephew, who will be ring bearer.

The one thing we have found really difficult has been choosing songs for the ceremony! We think we have finally chosen the songs but we have decided in the end to play the actual recordings instead of using the organist so we're putting together a CD.

One of the few things left to do is to fill in the paperwork for our photographer and videographer then we should be having a phone consultation with both!

And last but not least...I have almost finished our menus and place cards!! I was starting to worry I wouldn't get to finish them as work has been so busy! As soon as they are totally finished I will post some pics!

Thanks Claire! STILL not entirely sure on the song choices (who knew picking ceremony songs was such a difficult task! Lol) We keep swapping and going back and forth. At least it's not quite as urgent now we are providing a CD! I hope to lock it down this weekend though!
