wow Just stepped out for a minute to take the dog out and it sure is nasty out there!!!

All school busses in the upper grand school board have been cancelled so my 13yo gets lucky enough to walk the younger daycare kids over today for me so I don't have to take the babies out.

Stay safe if you have to drive anywhere!!

My 2nd youngest has been sick all week so I was really looking forward to playgroup today..NOT another day stuck in the house! AGH!! All schools and a lot of roads are closed around here.

It totally sucks here too!!!! I hate winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:sad2:

We have the flash freeze warning, the blowing snow advisory and the wind warning. It is too nasty out there, DS and I are both home from school today. It's jammy day at home and studying for me all day today.

It's cold here too!The back door is frozen solid,so I have to let the dog out in the front on a chain. She doesn't stay out for long!

My SO got into work ok then emailed me that all the roads around the plant are closed so he's stuck there! Hope they have enough food :)

Schools closed and some roads closed in Grey County as well. Really blowing. I am normally in Orlando at this time but going a couple of weeks later what a mistake.

Buses were cancelled in our area, so playgroup did not happen this morning... I've got one frustrated little guy on my hands. Here's hoping nothing causes a cancellation next week!!

It's okay here, just really blowing out there along with the sun shining??? Odd...

They said the winds would begin around 4:00 a.m and it woke me up at 03:59! Pretty precise for a change...I hate Winter too!:confused3

my cousins were suppose to leave Buffalo to Orlando this morning, and the flights in buffalo got canceled., I even saw on the news this morning that they closed the borders to USA, but i think they may have reopened since.

Wind woke me up this morning too. I have a little dog (three and a half pounds) it was the funniest thing watching trying to .... well you know... Every time she lifted her leg up off the ground the wind swept her over.

The winds were so noisy this morning, I woke up several times. :headache: When I finally decided to get out of bed, I was feeling pretty grumpy from the lack of sleep. I was definitely not looking forward to walking (or in my case running) for the bus. Then I got a call from my fiance who couldn't sleep either - lucky me because I got a ride to work and breakfast from Tim's :goodvibes Definitely a good way to start the day! Unfortunately I couldn't convince him to fill in for me today at work :rotfl:

It's been a miserable week here (Here being Edmonton, AB) since Sunday, as well. The temperature hasn't risen above -40 (and has actually been closer to -48 Sun/Mon/Tues) since late Saturday night when the storm blew in. We received far too much snow all at once. More than one person in my office has been unable to start their car at the end of the day the last two days (and that's -after- making a point of going out to start them at lunch!).

I even saw on the news this morning that they closed the borders to USA, but i think they may have reopened since.

They closed the Lewiston/Queenston bridge because of the wind -- I'm not sure if they reopened it yet. Closing the border sounds too ominous!

Well I sure do hope that super cold air isn't headed our way.... the -25 with the wind here is bad enough!!

It's been a quiet day for me.... several of my daycare families decided not to venture out b/c of the weather!!

Stay warm and safe everyone!!

You are all getting what we are just ending -47c with the wind chill it is brutal.

It's real cold in Regina as well. Yesterday morning the temperature was -33 but with the wind chill it felt like -52. This morning is was -36 but thankfully there was no wind.

We are flying out on Friday morning (from Toronto) to NYC for the weekend (seeing Wicked and Legally Blond!) so I hope the weather cooperates.
