We are sailing on the 4-day disney wonder in November. We are only going to do one excursion. Which would be better. It will be myself, my dh, ds(9) and dd(7). If you have taken the Lucayun Beach excursion it says there is a pool and waterslide are they worth it? thanks

Did the Lucayan excursion last month and absolutely loved it. They have one very long (and dark) twisting slide, two huge gorgeous pools, the beach, lunch and some organized children's games. Tourist shopping is 5-10 minute walk. It seemed that we had one particular area virtually to ourselves. Plenty of chairs and not crowded in the pools. Other people may say to stay on the ship because you can get these things for free on the ship(or rather we have already paid for them as part of the cruise) and CC but i liked doing an excursion (and that was my only excursion as well). It was a 20 minute bus ride to the resort and we stayed from 10am to around 3pm. Did the Blue Lagoon years ago (without children )and enjoyed it too, although not as much. Lucayan seemed better and more suited for my 6 year old to fill her day.

I did the Lucayan beach day and we loved it! The pool was big and uncrowded as was the nice beach!

We did Blue Lagoon and it was OK, but my other choice was Lucayan and I wish we had done that.

We just returned from Our Lucaya Westin on Monday. Is this the resort that you go to? We loved it. Threehearts
-Obviously, I'm not a cruiser.

Which one would you suggest for 3-2 yr. olds??? :)

we did Lucayan Beach Day with my 2 1/2 year old and it was perfect for her!

thanks aprilgail2!! do you remember how much it cost?

I think it was $49/adult and $39/ child in June (that includes transfers and lunch)

Can someone tell me(a non-cruiser) if you are going to the Westin/Sheraton at Our Lucaya? The reason I ask is that we try to avoid resorts that host cruise ship excursions because of the crowds. I saw Norwegian guests arrive on a beautiful Sheraton beach in Maui and this lovely snorkeling area was devoid of all sealife in about 20 seconds. I have nothing against cruising at all but just want to avoid the crowds that can come sometimes with shore excursioners. Thanks so much. Susan
