I really thought I had this nailed down. Now I cannot decide what to do. I have a room booked at the Comfort Suites but I am having second thoughts about Atlantis. We love nice resorts and it sounds like they have some really cool things to offer but we also love good snorkelling and lazing on a pretty beach. We also like to rent Wave Runners, especially my "balls out adrenaline junkie" DH. We've been to many islands and tropical beaches and have done numerous excursions. The ones that really stood out for us were the wave runner tour along the coast of Haiti and the catamaran trip to swim with the giant sea turtles in Maui. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated!

I am also thinking the same - especially with my kids & MIL in tow - I know the kids want to do a beach - but I think my MIL would enjoy the Atlantis aquarium - I want to snorkel. DECISIONS - DECISIONS - will Nassau be warm enough early Feb. for swimming & the beach?

We did Atlantis/Comfort Suites... With our young DS, excursions like the catamaran were not an option for us. So, we did the Snorkel on Castaway Cay.

My recomendation.... From your description of what floats your boat, I would go for the Catamaran!!!! Here are my reasons for this.

1. Atlantis is great! Loved the aquariums, beautiful pools, etc... However, for us, both the slides and the beach left a bit to be desired. It is definately not like a great Water Park. And, the beach is NOT Castaway Cay. It is the more relaxing day at a nice resort/casino....

2. Also, by going Snorkeling while at Castaway Cay, we lost half our precious day on that wonderful Island!
