I'm cruising on the Wonder on Jan 4th. I've cruised Disney twice before but this is my mom's first ever cruise and she wants to do some disney sponsored excursions (I've never done any excursions, I always stay on the ship) has anyone done the Horse and Carriage ride in Nassau? I'm looking into that excursion or Discover Atlantis. Any reccommendations?

Can't help with the carriage ride, but we enjoyed the Discover Atlantis tour. The dig is really interesting if you like that kind of thing. The hotel is beautiful. It is a lot of walking, but mostly flat. It can be done on your own by just getting a taxi to take you over there and purchase the dig tickets in the casino.

It's been a while, but we've done the horse and carriage ride. They are within walking distance of the ship. They will quote you a price but, like most everything in Nassau, it is negotiable. They take you around town and fill you in on some of the sights. I am used to downtown Chicago, where the carriages are sent out in strict order. In Nassau, it's "anything goes," with all of the drivers competing at the same time for the same customer.
