Hello! Longtime lurker, very new member to the DisBoards. We have visited WDW many times, but have never cruised. We now have not one but TWO DCL cruises coming up..and I am a bit of a fish out of water (no pun intended).

Has anyone done the Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkeling (N14) excursion at Nassau? Any input or advice? Does the operator provide the snorkeling gear?

Also, on the Watercraft Ski Adventure - Double (C12) on Castaway Cay...is the cost of $172.00 for both riders, or would that be the fee for each rider? Anyone done it? Would love to hear about it, too!

Thanks (in advance) for any help!

We just got back from our first DCL cruise...we did the swimming with sea lions at Blue Lagoon excursion - which was very nice, I'd recommend any of the activities at Blue Lagoon (Dolphins looked really fun!). On CC we did the Kayaking adventure which was fun and the Stingray feeding, which was good, not great, but cheap enough that it was worth it.

Thanks for the tips! Our daughter will be 12 on the cruise, and we are trying to find excursions that will appeal to all of us.

While I have not done this excursion, if you don't have access to jets skis at home it can be a fun time. They require older drivers, so be aware of that. Also you kind of go out in a line and ride, so it isn't like you get to mess around on the water craft doing high speed short radius turns etc. We had jet skis for years so it wouldn't be the thrill for us it is to others.

That makes sense. My husband and daughter would be riding, so we have that covered. Thanks for the response!

We've done the jet skis. It's a lot of fun. They do take you out in a line but you can still go fast. They make a stop either at the far side (no people) of the island or at a sandbar. The guide gives some interesting information about the Bahamas and Castaway.
Bring sunglasses with a strap. The water splashes up into your face and it makes it hard to see.
I bought the straps at Dollar Tree. They were good for a one time use.
A lot of the excursions get cancelled at Castaway because of high winds. If the water is to rough the jet skis get cancelled. We booked the first one in the morning because it tends to get cancelled later in the day.

Great tip...I never would have thought of bands for their sunglasses. We planned on trying for the morning outing (we are early risers). Thanks so much!
