Nassau & cash?

Anyone know what the ATM deal is on Nassau? Since there are no ATMs on board if we need cash we'll have to get it in Nassau- Anyone know if there are a lot of them- or just a few & how about the charges? I don't like to carry a lot of cash on me but if the ATMs are going to charge you $5 a pop then it might be worth it. Thanks!

Princess -- I hit an ATM while in Nassau. Wanted to buy sapphire and diamond earrings for dd and received a better price if I paid in cash. The was a Scotia Bank (I believe) on the corner of the jewlery store and I ran in, I was able to get cash from my money market account with no problem. Even had the choice of american or bahamian dollars. The fee was pretty much what you pay here in the States. Although I don't remember it exactly.

Yep...daughter had to use ATM while we were there. Scotia bank or something like that is where she went also.
