Nassau Atlantis Aquaventure or Day Pass at Resort?

Hi friends. I am trying to decide whether an Atlantis Aquaventure activity would be worth it, or if I should do a day pass at a resort for a nominal fee.

I found a website that has a few resorts listed. One of them being the Hilton Colonial Resort which is steps away from the port. The price of Atlantis is very expensive, and I am not sure if my kids - age 5 and 10 will like it.

Any suggestions or info you may have on the subject is extremely appreciated! Thank you!

We enjoy Atlantis, but if there are a lot of ships in port the day you go, the lines can be very long and it's crowded. It's also on the pricier side to eat/drink there. You can search ships in port and weigh that in your decision making.

We just got back from Nassau and felt like Aquaventure was a huge rip-off. I wish we had done a resort pass style thing instead, or some other tour, or really anything other than Atlantis.

If your kids are into water parks then Atlantis would be incredible. My kids would do one of two activities and then move to the wave pool, done with the slides. Consequently we quit the water parks early.

We have never done the Atlantis package that includes the water parks, but we love the Colonial Hilton. They have a great freshwater pool, a great beach area, and your day pass includes a food and beverage credit. Very easy to walk to from the ship. The day pass includes all of the day amenities at the resort, including loungers, towels, snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and paddle boards.

Thank you everyone for the responses! On our last Disney Cruise, we did the Atlantis Beach Day. We weren’t incredibly thrilled with the experience - especially at the high price. I think we may go with a day pass instead. Thank you everyone for your responses!

We travel to Atlantis directly and the water park is AMAZING, that is until the cruise ship passengers show up. So as a cruise passenger I can see why this would not be a good experience. The people staying at Atlantis run for the hills(and to the guests only pools) when the cruise ship crowds show up as it turns into a zoo. This isnt a knock on cruise ship passengers, just saying it gets nuts when they show up.

This is true I never thought of that, we’ve taken our family to Atlantis 3 times now we just love it so much but we book a full week at Atlantis, stay in site and get meal plan passes.

We've been to Nassau twice - once as a stand alone vacation and once with DCL. IMO... Atlantis Aquaventure is amazing ad a stand alone vacation, but not for a day activity. You need more than 1 day to fully take in and enjoy everything that Atlantis has to offer. I would do something different as a cruise activity, and if you want to check out Atlantis, do it as an independent family vacation.
