Nassau and Freeport money???

Do the merchants and straw markets on Nassau and Freeport take American Money or do we have to exchange our money for theirs?

They accept and expect US currency. I believe it is their main currency. They wouldn't like or currency CAN. $$$ being so low but they would take what ever they could get, Im sure.
