I'm meeting my sisters at the half way mark so my DD16 can go spend a few weeks with them. We can either spend a day together in Nashville or Memphis. Which would you chose, what is there to do for kids ages 3-16?

Thanks :)

Memphis actually has a ton to do. The zoo is really good. It even has pandas. There is a great children's museum, but some of your crew may be too old. My kids enjoy the Pink Palace Museum. They also love the Riverboats.

If they are into music, there are activities for that as well.

I have been to Nashville a few times and can't think of anything for kids to do so I wanted to suggest Chattanoogs. There is Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, Aquarium.
Just a thought.

Thanks, as fun as it would be, its not in the "half way" area for us to meet. They are in MO and I'm in the FL panhandle.

Last time we met in Nashville and just went to the giant mall.

We are looking into the zoo...the kids are 2, 5, 8, 15 and 16. So that just might work :)

Too bad Chattanooga is out of the way, I loved visiting a few months ago and there is a lot to do.

Being in Nashville...yes the giant mall is still closed from flooding last year. The Opryland hotel has been renovated though and is amazing to walk around in if you didn't go last time. There is a good art center with kids activities, free for kids. The science center is decent and has laser and star shows. Depending on time of year, I love the Warner Parks and Cheekwood gardens just to stroll around. Pick up BBQ or hot chicken and have a picnic. Or visit the Parthenon...but really debatable whether it is worth paying to go in. Just visiting the park it is in might be better. Live music on Sat afternoon at Centennial Park. I'll stop rambling now.
