Up next is the "Firecracker Casino 400" at Michigan International Speedway on SUNDAY, June 9th.
Qualifying is set for SATURDAY, June 8th. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
This is the 15th race of the 2019 season.
Some fun facts and assorted tidbits:
Michigan International Speedway is a D-Oval track with a lap distance of 2.0 miles. We'll see 200 laps raced for a total race distance of 400 miles.
There have been a lot of accidents at Michigan. Mostly because of the high banking and long straightaways where speeds in excess of 200 MPH are reached.
David Pearson has the most wins here with 9. In the spring race, Cale Yarborough leads the list of wins with 6.
For active drivers in the spring race., the #11 D Hamlin and #1 Kurt Busch share the honors with 2 victories each. They both have a lot of catching up to do.
Michigan is always exciting anmd always fun.
My picks:
Kyle Busch <~~~ Fresh off another win! 2019 is a great year for the #18 so far...I don't see a let up this Sunday...
Kurt Busch <~~~ My guess is he has a good chance to be 3 behind Mr Yarborough after the checkered flag is waved...
D Hamlin <~~~ In the hunt...in the chase...racing hard...racing well...
K Harvick <~~~ Needs a bounce back...SOON! Michigan might be the bounce he needs...
J Logano <~~~ Something tells me...the #22 is due for a monster showing....since Michigan and monster both start with M...uhmmm...uh oh...so does maybve....oh well...that's too much to erase and retype...if i had that much energy I'd practice typing Juan Pablo Montoya...
My spare will be M Truex JR!! <~~~ I like typing JR!!!
