Wow. Just wow. I wonder if Daytona Motor Speedway has now been embarrassed about not repaving since 1978? What a race.

Thought the same thing. That fact surprised me? Not sure, but does Daytona really hold that many events that no time to repave??

Now---We will deal w/ a newly repaved race track for the firecracker race...Anybody remember how bad Charlotte was when the repaved.

Yeah. The last time they repaved Indy it took a year of grinding before all of the drivers were happy with the grip and groove.

During that whole red flag for the track repairs, I kept picturing that Geico commercial with the talking pothole. "Oh, no! Your tires all flat and junk."
