The "Verizon 200 at the Brickyard" will be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on SUNDAY, August 15th.
Please make your picks before the start of the race.
This is the 28th running of the Brickyard classic and to celebrate, NASCAR decided to hold this race for the first timer EVER on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
The road course is a 14 turn track with a lap distance of 2.439 miles. 82 laps are scheduled for a total race distance of 200 miles.
We are getting close to the start of the NASCAR cup chase at Darlington in Early September. We have this race and then a visit to Michigan followed by a visit to Daytona. After Daytona, the Playoff Round of 16 begins.
So, after Darlington, The DIS Board Cup Series will also begin. We won't be following a reduction like going from a field of 16 down to a field of 8 to a field of 4 and so on.
Everybody is in it from the start all the way to the end of the season.
Each week I will post the race results as usual. I will then add a following post with the DIS Board Cup Series standings.
It is a simple format. Races in the cup chase will be scored and then added to the previous scores and then divided by the number of races added together.
That way, everyone has an equal chance to win or have an equal chance to be a spoiler.
Simple yes?
If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to PM me any time.
Hopefully, to cover all the bases, The weeks where someone's score is from their defaults, that score will count the same as a score from posted picks.
