Lest I be charged with slackin' - here's the thread for the next race - Michigan.
Been here once this year and Ryan Newman took the honors. Last Year's August winner was Ryan Newman (imagine that
).
So you know the drill, pick your top 5 finishers (and a spare in case of rain cancelled qualifying, injury or some other freak accident). Picks must be posted prior to the start of qualifying. When is that you say...Qualifying will be Friday Aug 20th at 3:10PM Eastern Time.
Good luck to all. The "drama" as TNT is so fond of is mounting...can Jimmie Johnson come back from 2 disasterous weeks to maintain his points lead? Now that Jeremy Mayfield has replaced Ryan Newman as the sole Dodge in the top 10 can he maintain or improve his position? Is his teammie Kasey Kahn gunning for him or will Ryan Zoomin Newman take Michigan again and reclaim his position? (you have to imagine that Dodge will pay whoever gets them their first championship in many years a bonus) Which driver vying for the top 10 will Brian Vickers wreck this week?? Will ToriLammy get a life and stop trying to be dramatic? Stay tuned.
My picks:
1. #12 - Ryan Newman (2 wins in a row at this track means something)
2. #24 - Jeff Gordon (What can I say that you haven't already heard?)
3. #25 - Brian Vickers (Yeah, I know I said he'd wreck someone but not himself
)
4. #9 - Kasey Kahne (this is one of the many tracks where he finsihed 2nd...his first win is coming and being only 24 points out of tenth provides lots of motivation)
5. #17 - Matt Kenseth (haven't really heard much from him lately, it's time for another win)
Spare - #6 - Mark Martin
