He won the Craftsman Truck race at Bristol last night. DH and I were wondering how he's going to do a back flip from the cup car since they aren't supposed to climb on them ;) I hope we get to find out soon.

2bmarried, you are very fortunate to be going to Bristol as your 1st race. There are people who would give their 1st born to score tickets to that event. Have a gret time at the bullring.

Has qualifying started yet? I have been so busy trying to get stupid Ap rates for my trip in Oct I forgot to put in my picks? I have no idea when it is. So hopefully it is not too late.

1 - stewart
2 - J. Gordon
3 - Newman
4 - J Johnson
5 - B Labonte

spare Kahne

I have a feeling qualifying was over :( , but did you get your AP rates? What a pain those codes were this year! I got the BAT code for 2 nights this Dec. Saved $48. Not sure if the 45 minute phone call was worth it though.

Sort of. I had a TA and she got me nothing so I have been calling. I can't get anything for the Poly Garden view Concierge room I already have booked. I manged to get a garden view room on hold and a Lagoon view Conceirge room on hold. I just need to figure out if I want to save money of splurge on the Lagoon view room. Of course having stayed Lagoon view Concierge sounds much better. :teeth:

Hey Jr Fans:

There's a new sweepstakes (Wrangler's) that started on Aug 26th. Five people will win a trip to Lowes Motorspeedway in Oct and while you don't get tickets to a race you do get a ride in car with JR!

http://www.wrangler.com/wr_home.asp (click on the picture of Jr)

Grand Prizes: trip for winner and one guest to Charlotte, North Carolina on October 26, 2004, where winner will have the opportunity to ride as a passenger with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in a Nextel Cup style racecar for (3) laps and winner and his/her guest will have the opportunity to participate in the Richard Petty Driving Experience "Rookie Experience." Prize includes roundtrip coach air travel from major airport near winner's residence to Charlotte, North Carolina; 2 days/1 night standard hotel accommodations (double occupancy); ground transfers between Charlotte airport and hotel and between hotel and racetrack (where ride as a passenger with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and participation in Richard Petty Driving Experience "Rookie Experience" will take place). Approximate Retail Value: $2,500 each. Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: $12,500.

Only one entry per person so your odds are as good as everyone else. Good luck!

Sorry about that Duke, I should have mentioned that - don't normally pay attention since I don't live in Florida. I enter a lot of sweepstakes (most recent win was an iPod from Budweiser) and know a lot of folks who do - apparently FL has some pretty strict rules about running sweepstakes and most agencies rather than play (pay) by the rules just don't include FL in their sweepstakes. Unfair to FL folks but just one of those things I guess. (It does make for a little less competition for the rest of us though - now if they would just exclude NY, TX and CA...I might win more often ;))
