We built 7 restaurants within a 1 year time period last year.. we go pretty fast when building stuff. This is not a Disney Springs project which will take 5+ years!

I never said you did say anything official.

It's very unusual on here for verified Universal employees to not say who they work for or where.

Anyone can say they work there..........that's why I wondered who "we" were. Usually that term is in reference to company statements.

Since I didn't, then all you need to know is I work for them, you don't need to no where. I use the term "we" because we are all Team Members at Universal Orlando. "We" tend to look at our company more as a team, than a group of individuals.

Should we verify where everyone on here works or owns DVC? I state that also (I am a DVC owner) - do I need to show you my DVC paperwork - who knows I might be lying about that too.

Is it presumptuous to assume you were making a statement on behalf of the company you work for? I wouldn't have thought anyone would be so touchy being asked if they worked for Universal. No I don't need to "know" where you work......of course not.

There is not even a rumor about when it might open or what it is. My complete guess would be around late spring so it is open before the summer..

Thanks. The Nascar Café was always our go-to when we wanted a quick bite so I'm very interested in this change.

I would assume that the poster would love to tell us what she has heard but realizes that she can't. I'll just treat this as a rumor until something comes out from Universal itself.

Universal doesn't tend to tell its general employees any more than they tell the general public. The rumours that they hear are the same ones that we hear through forums, blogs and newspapers. If you google Nascar replacement Citywalk, you come up with multiple rumour reports all talking about an NBC sports bar. However, it is still a rumour until it is verified by Universal.

The NBC Sports restaurant was discussed on a recent Dis Unplugged Universal podcast, and I didn't get the impression it was rumor. I think it's more than that at this point, even if an official announcement hasn't been released. It would make sense - it would draw in any sports enthusiast, compete with ESPN Club, and there's also rumors that NBA City is going away so it would fill that void as well.
