Universal doesn't tend to tell its general employees any more than they tell the general public. The rumours that they hear are the same ones that we hear through forums, blogs and newspapers. If you google Nascar replacement Citywalk, you come up with multiple rumour reports all talking about an NBC sports bar. However, it is still a rumour until it is verified by Universal.

other than WDW bus drivers, the employees of the various parks who are truly in the 'know', know enough to not spill the beans on internet message boards...likely having disclosure stipulations in their employment contracts.
