Right now I have four character meals booked. Two for my DD and two for my DS. BUT, I want to cancel one for DD, one for DS.

I've eaten at all the restaurants below except Tusker House for breakfast (have dined there for lunch).

Which would you keep and why?

For DD:
Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch)
Akershus (breakfast)

For DS:
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Tusker House (breakfast)

We're staying at the Polynesian, but travel time to resort or park isn't a factor. I'm just looking for opinions to help my decision.

Thanks!

i would keep akershus. You still get to see all the princesses and it is only 1 credit on the dining plan or 1/2 the price if you are paying oop. :)

Chef mickey's (breakfast)
tusker house (breakfast)
i would keep tusker house. It is our favorite character meal. The food is excellent, the characters are great and the location is the perfect place to start your day at ak. You can fill up then head to the safari.:)

hth! :)

I agree with the pp. I have eaten at all except Cinderella's, and do want to try Cinderella's but if you have eaten there before I would go with Akershus and save the money. I also really like the Tusker House. Chef Mickey's the food was ok but not really spectacular. Tusker House we all really liked the food and the characters were great.

I haven't actually eaten at any of these places (well, as an adult!) so take my opinions with a grain of salt. But here they are. ;)

Has your daugther eaten at CRT before? If she has, then I would go with Akershus. If she has not, then I would keep CRT.....it's the essential princess experience with the whole "dining IN the castle" thing. Every little princess fan should experience it once!

I would keep Tusker House. You've already been to Chef Mickey's before, and from all the reviews I read, Tusker House gets better marks for food than Chef Mickey's.

I agree too. when it comes to the food itself, I REALLY love Tusker House. The unique flavors are lovely and the offerings are different than the usual eggs/bacon/pancakes...t(hough they have those too)
We did CRT last year and we really enjoyed it, but this time we're doing the Norway b'fast instead.

Thanks everyone! Anyone else want to chime in?

If I had to choose I would choose the Princess Breakfast in Norway and Tuskar house

I would keep PSB for your dd and Chef Mickey's for your ds.

We've done PSB and CRT many times and I think PSB is a better deal.

Chef Mickey's is a must do for us - we buy the picture every year. It's amazing to see how much the kids have grown. We started in 2003!
Chef Mickey's just screams Disney to me.

If price or TS credits aren't an issue I would keep CRT and CM. However if you want to get a better deal then I would go w/ PSBB and CM. It is a wait to use 2 TS credits (or pay out of pocket) for CRT. But we do go every trip. Just so our DD can eat in the castle. The smile on her face is worth the $ to us. As for CM it's also a MUST for us. It's not Disney until you've been there!
My DH says PSBB was the worst meal ever. He hated it. I didn't mind it. Just eggs and hasbrowns really. But it didn't help the server was not real nice. He will NEVER go back there.
We do like Tusker House. We usually go there just because it's the only breakfast meal in AK.

I, like everyone else, would keep Akershus and Tusker House, unless you haven't tried CRT. Everyone should eat in the castle at least once. We tried it on our last trip and was glad we did, but wouldn't use 2TS credits again. Akershus is very similar and is only 1TS.

My DD LOVED CRT! I have never eaten at Askerhus (sp?) so I can't comment on that. CRT was nice because and the atmosphere was unbeatable for a little princess :)! As for you son.... stick with Tusker House. We ate at Chef Mickeys last month and the food was awful! Nothing was warm, even the Mickey waffles:scared1:, and my eggs were VERY runny to the point I wondered how long they were really cooked???

I agree with most everyone - keep Akershus and Tusker House.

I would do CRT for lunch (we really like the lunch there, not really big breakfast people - DH loves the Major Domo's plus being in the castle is just lovely) and Tusker House. They had really good food.

Between Akershus & CRT it's a toss up - we would probably go with Akershus brkfst just because we don't do table service lunches (except for Sci Fi) - we prefer early brkfsts so we're done in time for rope drop.

We would definitely choose Chef Mickey's (one of our favorites) over Tusker House. We've been to TH a few times and we don't care for the atmosphere and the character interaction is very poor/rushed.
