I asked this on the restaurant forum but wanted the wedding planners opinion also.

We're either doing Narcoossee's, California Grill or Coral Reef for dinner on our wedding night. It will be my finace, myself, DS (who is 6), FMIL & FFIL.
Which would you recommend?

I asked a similar question for dinner on our wedding night (just DH and me - we had a morning ceremony and lunch reception) and most people recommended California Grill, which we had never been to. We not only had to wait for an HOUR despite our ADR, but we told them when we made the reservation it was our wedding night and, of course, we were wearing our bride and groom ears and pins. Our waiter never congratulated us, or offered us a free dessert or anything. We were extremely disappointed by the service and the lack of "Disney spirit" which we saw at every other restaurant we visited later in the trip. We also felt the quality of food was not met by the price.

Narcoosee's is probably a good choice. It feels like a good "special occasion" restaurant but isn't too froofy.

I would recommend CA Grill for food, unlike the PP's experience I had no wait and great service there. Although with your DS6 Coral Reef may be a better choice, he may be bored at the other two.

please bear in mind that you wont be able to get into the parks in your wedding dress, so if you're planning to go to coral reef you'll need to change first.
but if you're going to change first anyway that doesnt matter!

Watching the fireworks from the balcony at CG with the music piped in is one of our favorite memories from our wedding!

Well I defintely don't recomend the coral reef. Lets just say i've had a few bad experiences there. Anyway I LOVE narcooses however for your wedding night I would probably suggest California Grill. Its so nice and romantic. Maybe even if you have it late enough (I don't know your plans) you can be there for the fireworks and go out on the observation decks

I LOVE Narcooses!! It is my favorite restaurant in Disney for sure! They also will pipe in music during Wishes, and you have a perfect (even closer than the CA Grill) view of them! I find it even more romantic because the restaurant is right on the water. The food is always excellent, the service is great, and you can't been the Wishes entertainment!!

ya again the food was very very good! Like I said before I can't vouch for CG's food but I just thought the view was really nice from up there.

I called today to personalize my Narcoossee's menu and found out the price of the lobster entree is now $68! Wow, and I thought it was horribly expensive a few months ago at $54.

I'd go with Narcosse's. I find the California Grill to be too loud and busy. It reminded me of a cafeteria!
And don't even get me started on the Coral Reef...

Another vote for Narcoosee's. I feel it is underrated and often takes second place to California Grill but to me it is much more romantic and the food is excellent. The servers will help you with wine and meal pairings just like at California Grill but it's much more intimate and alid back. Plus if you schedule your meal at the right time you can see the MK fireworks.
