Narnia at MGM?

I read on one of the other Disney sites that there was a Chronicles of Narnia type "attraction" or display of some sort at MGM Studios. My kids loved the movie and I was wondering if any one has seen this attraction and can discribe it at all. Is it a temporary thing, and if so, will it be there in May when I go back to the World.

I don't know if it will be there in May or not. But, I'm not sure it's worth stressing over. It's just a long commercial for the movie. Sure, it was ok, but that's 1/2 hour of my life I'll never get back. ;)

It is my understanding that this is a temporary exhibit (and hard to find, I might add). But I'll bet that as long as the movie is still doing well in theaters, it will remain.

If you do go, don't let yourself get trapped just inside the doors (the wardrobe). You won't see one of the best parts.

And...they tend to move you through the area with the movie props in it a little too quickly. I like to read the information plaques, but I felt rushed.

You know this was in my planner dvd that I got- it was on the map that came with my dvd- so I am thinking it is going to be a more fixed attraction for at least a while. I hope so I would love to get pictures by the Wardrobe!

It is a "mob wait" outside the wardrobe, but you might be able to get some pictures. There are what must be artist concept drawings in cases on the wall in the waiting area, but there is no light on them. It's dark in the waiting area, so you can't really see them.

I liked the movie and was very much looking forward to the exhibit. It was good, but it could have been better.

When we were there earlier this month the CM said it was only at MGM for 3 months.

Agreed. When my first remark is "That's it?", it's not a great attraction. The photo op by the lamp post is the best thing about it.

I was also told by a CM that it would only be there for three months, however, she said it could stay longer if people seem to like it.

When we went in December, they let about 30 people in at a time and it was difficult to see things. I went the other day and there were maybe twelve people in at a time. It was great. I took my time and looked at all of the props and pictures. I really like it.

We went in mid January and Narnia was one of the things I was looking most forward to. I was disappointed. We saw maybe the second "show" of the day and there were fewer than 12 people in my group. I didn't think the wardrobe doors were a good photo op. The winter room where you watch the movie trailer was neat, but definitely not worth a long line. Plus, we were told not to take photos inside. The memorabilia area was tiny and the dozen people in my group were crowded inside this hallway that reminded me of the dark trophy hallway at my old high school. The things I remember that were on display were an outfit (or maybe 2) worn by Lucy, a couple of the frozen statues, the witch's sleigh and the witch's wand.

It's worth seeing if there isn't much of a wait, but if it's gone when you go try not to sweat it. I, personally, would never bother seeing it a second time.
