Narcosse with 3 year old and an infant?

Our toddler handles sit down meals very well for the most part, but as a backup option we take an ipad mini loaded with his favorite movies and some baby game apps. If he starts to get fussy, we pull it out and it calms his right down.

My kid would probably view that as a reward...seeing as all we do is sit-down non chain restaurants at home since she was like 8 weeks old. She's going to be that kid that thinks McDonalds is some magically exclusive place. :rotfl2:

They may have been eating a happy meal, but it wasn't a happy meal time. I think we only had to do it twice. Mommy wasn't happy!

I would say Disney is a family place and there will certainly be other families dining there as well. With that being said only you know how your children will act. We are taking our 2 year old in Nov and i personally would not take her to a signature right now. Only because i know she is at the age where she doesn't like to sit still for a long period. Therefore we booked mostly buffets and character meals to occupy her.

Thanks for the replies, they are my grandchildren, and thier parents will be with us also, we usually go out to eat at least once a week to Red Lobster, Steakhouses, so they are used to going to restuarants that take a while.

I would not hesitate to bring them and it sounds like you’ll have plenty of adults to take turns with them outside the restaurant if needed.

Also worth mentioning (and as a grandparent I’m sure you are already aware of this) - even the most well-mannered child can experience an epic Disney meltdown after a long day at the parks. It’s so different from being at home that depending on the age it is hard how to predict how they really will be at the table given the day’s events.

We have been lucky with my 2 toddlers - they have done great at all our Disney meals but we have timed them right - early is always the key for us. I think an early dinner like you have scheduled is perfect.

When my DGD was younger, my DH would always finish eating first and he would go out with her. (she never ate very much) They would walk around the building, through parking lots, or just look for birds to annoy. We took her to all kinds of restaurants. She was always pretty well behaved. But her parents also took her outside when she was not.
